Dr. Veronica BINDA is Lecturer of Economic History, Business History and Evolution in International Business in the Department of Institutional Analysis and Public Management at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.


She holds a PhD in Economic and Social History from Bocconi University, and won the European Business History Association Prize for best PhD thesis in Business History in Europe during the years 2006 and 2007.Since completing her PhD, she gave lectures at the University of Parma (Faculty of Political Science) from 2008 to 2010. From 2010 to 2013 she has been given the responsibility for the Business History and International Business History courses at the Department of Economics and Business at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona).


Her fields of interest include strategy and organizational behavior from a historical perspective, the role of big business in modern economic growth, the history of corporate governance from a comparative perspective, and the relationship between foreign direct investment and long term economic growth.


She has published a book entitled “The dynamics of big business: structure, strategy, and impact in Italy and Spain”, and several articles in journals such as Business History, Business History Review,European Journal of International Management, Revista de Historia Industrial, Información Comercial Española and Imprese e Storia.
