The course “China’s Population and Development” started in September 2011, and has been given each semester thereafter. The course targets undergraduate students from various disciplines, including exchange students from Fudan-UC joint program and Fudan-Monterrey joint program, foreign and domestic students at Fudan University.

The course well fits students who show interests in China’s population issues. After leaning the course, students are expected to learn basic demographic concepts and theories, to command how to get access to demographic data, and most importantly to formulate a picture of China’s population changes and their connection with social and economic development.
