Introduction

The course on international law has been the mandatory course for law students at Fudan University since 1981. It has been taught by bi-language, i.e., Chinese and English since 2000. In the academic year of 2008, it was firstly conducted in solely English to meet the needs of internationalized education for undergraduates at Fudan University, in particular, for more exchange students from the United States, European and Asian countries. Since then, it has been taught for ten years (2008-2017).

The course on international law taught solely in English is offered for both foreign exchange students who are undergraduates no matter what are their majors and Chinese students who are mostly LL.B students at Law School of Fuden University. It is scheduled for four teaching hours (45 minutes as one teaching hour, total 180 minutes) per week from early September to middle December due to the special reason that most foreign students will go home before Christmas Day.

As the general policy of Fudan University, students shall register the course after the first two weeks for testing their capacities and interests. The registered students will be granted three credits if they attend the course normally and pass the final examination.
