Dr. Chen received his PhD from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1994, and had a post-doctoral training in UC Berkeley (1995-1999). He had a joint appointment with UCLA Dental School and NIH Dietary Research Center in UCLA (1999-2004). He had worked as a chief scientist at GC Corporation in Japan (2004-2010).His current efforts in China are firmly focused on three major health concerns in China: HBV infection,terminal stage infections and clinical bioinformatics.
