After graduating from Peking Union Medical College in 2004 with Ph.D. in Etiology, Dr. Cai received postdoctoral training at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in United States and then promoted as Research Associate working in the Department of Microbiology and Abramson Comprehensive Cancer Center at UPenn. His research area is focusing on the mechanisms of oncogenic herpesvirus–induced tumorigenesis related to microenvironmental hypoxia stress and its potential therapeutic treatment.
