Nuclear technology is technology that involves the reactions of atomic nuclei. It has played, and continues to play, a significant role in various disciplines after the discovery of radioactivity and the development of nuclear science. Therefore, it is necessary that the essence and application of nuclear technology should be comprehensively introduced.
The course covers the basic knowledge of nuclear science, the basic tools and means of nuclear science，nuclear energy, nuclear weapons, the biological effects of radiation and protection and the applications of nuclear technology in life science, materials, industrial, agricultural and other scientific fields. Interdisciplinary applications and researches will be emphasized. We hope, through this course, students will come to understand the knowledge of nuclear technology, and expand their knowledge to other disciplines as well.
